How a Percussion Driven Mechanical Tree Anchor Works

There are three main stages to the installation of the tree anchoring system:

DRIVING THE TREE ANCHOR

Drive the tree anchor system into the ground to the required installation depth.

REMOVING THE RODS

Remove the drive rod from the body of the tree anchor, either by hand or using rod removing equipment.

LOADLOCKING

Loadlock the tree anchor system into its working position by applying a load to the wire tendon.

The same three stages of installation are applied to all Platipus earth anchor systems, from the smallest S2 to the largest B10 anchor. This is achieved by percussive installation. We separate the method of installation of our earth anchors into three simple categories – light, medium and heavy.
