There are three main stages to the installation of a ground anchoring system:

Driving the anchor

DRIVING THE GROUND ANCHOR

Drive the ground anchor system into the ground to the required installation depth.

Removing the rods

REMOVING THE RODS
Remove the drive rod from the body of the ground anchor, either by hand or using rod removing equipment.

Loadlocking the anchor

LOADLOCKING
Loadlock the ground anchor system into its working position by applying a load to the wire tendon.
The same three stages of installation are applied to all Platipus ground anchor systems, from the smallest S2 to the largest B10 anchor. This is achieved by percussive installation. We separate the method of installation of our ground anchors into three simple categories – light, medium and heavy.
