No excavation is necessary, completely removing the risk of working in deep
unshuttered holes.
ELECTRIFICATION NETWORKS The ground anchors are applied at any point where the
conductor, due to a directional change, is creating a load that is pulling the
wood pole away from a vertical position. This may be in situations where terrain
restrictions cause a line to deviate or where the construction of the line is
following a predetermined route. It may also be necessary to anchor eectricity
poles that carry service connections to consumers and when a conductor is terminated
to continue its route underground
TELECOMMUNICATION
NETWORKS The same principle applies to telephone poles and telecommunication
networks. Traditionally the size of the conductor and cable is smaller than
those used on electrification networks. As a result, the tension is reduced
and the anchoring requirement for the wood pole is less. In many situations
anchor systems for telecommunication networks can be installed by hand.
