LOAD BEARING PLATES
Load bearing plates are used where the angle of installation is perpendicular to the structure or application. They are available in galvanised steel and stainless steel in the following standard sizes - 100mm sq., 150mm sq., 200mm sq. and 300mm sq.
In addition, polyethylene load plates are also available. Generally associated with lightweight geotextile applications this type of plate bears only a nominal load to the geotextile to hold it in position. Polyethylene plates are available in 90mm Ø, 150mm sq. and 200mm sq. as standard.
Different sizes of load bearing plates can be made to order to suit specific customer requirements.

with a recess and plastic cover, allowing the wedge grip and wire tendon
to be completely concealed with minimum projection from the structure. A
hemi-spherical ball situated in the recess allows the angle of installation
to vary between 0°-30° from horizontal.

is used on projects where the plate is not perpendicular to the wire tendon
and aesthetic appearance is not as important. The elongated hole, shallow
recess and hemi-spherical ball allows the angle of installation to vary
between 0° - 20°. Dished plates are available in galvanised steel
or stainless steel in the same standard sizes as the load bearing plate. |

| The tensioner
is associated with pipeline earth anchor systems where buoyancy control is a major problem. It is used to tension the anchor systems installed either
side of the pipeline and prevents any further movement. Produced in galvanised
steel and stainless steel it is used with a webbing strap.

| The turnbuckle
is used in guyed applications. It is connected to the anchor system using
a hard eye top termination.
Once the earth anchor system has been loadlocked and the turnbuckle
has been fully extended it is connected to the guy wire of the structure.
Final adjustment can be made by rotating the main body of the turnbuckle
and retracting each end. Of galvanised steel construction, it accepts
wire tendon Ø up to 12mm as standard. Other sizes and materials
are also available. |
