Drive Rod Removing Equipment for Earth Anchors

In most situations drive rods and multi-piece drive rod sets can be removed from the ground easily by hand. Occasionally however, they can become stuck. We have developed a range of tools to make the removal process quick and simple.

ROD REMOVERS
Rod removers are used to remove drive rods in light and medium installations.

Slide both rod removers onto the first drive rod and pull upwards until the entire drive rod or multi-piece drive rod set has been extracted from the ground.

ROD REMOVAL CLAMP
If unable to remove drive rods using rod removers then a rod removal clamp should be used.

The clamp is attached to a manual stressing jack or to the back hoe of on-site machinery. The pulling force applied to the clamp causes the cam to grip the drive rod. This will enable the most immovable drive rods to be removed.

ROD REMOVAL COUPLER
During heavy installations using a multi-piece drive rod set, the rod removal coupler is used to speed up the rod removal process. The coupler threads onto the final drive rod and is attached to on-site machinery. The pulling force of the machinery will dislodge any difficult drive rods and remove them from the ground quickly and easily.
