Aluminium Alloy anchor		 ALUMINIUM ALLOY
*Life expectancy < 20 years
A low cost material offering a good strength to weight ratio and good corrosion resistance in most common environments. It is strong enough to be installed in soft to medium soils using light to medium duty installation equipment.

Hard Anodised Anchor		 HARD ANODISED ALUMINIUM ALLOY
*Life expectancy > 30 years
When aluminium is exposed to the atmosphere it naturally oxidises, providing a thin protective coating. By utilising an electro-chemical process known as anodising, a much thicker protective coating, both harder and more corrosion resistant, can be produced.

CAST SPHEROIDAL GRAPHITE IRON
*Life expectancy < 60 years
Cast iron is stronger than aluminium which makes it suitable for installation in harder ground using medium and heavy installation equipment. As ordinary flake cast iron is brittle material and could not withstand the impact produced by heavy duty installation equipment, we use a more ductile form of cast iron, known as, 'Cast Spheroidal Graphite Iron'. The anchors are then hot dip galvanised, providing a zinc coating with medium to long term corrosion resistance.

ALUMINIUM BRONZE
*Life expectancy > 120 years
Aluminium bronze is used where there is a requirement for long term applications or in environments which are highly corrosive.

In some cases aluminium bronze can be used in short term applications where the ground is extremely hard and high power installation equipment is required. Aluminium bronze has greater strength and impact resistance than Cast SG Iron.
