DRIVE
RODS |
| The drive rod is produced from heat treated
steel bar. The drive end is machined to fit into earth anchors in the
'Stealth' range. The drive head is available in two designs suitable for
either hand or powered installation. |

The drive head is rounded
for installation using a postrammer or sledgehammer. Hand drive rods are

to fit a percussive breaker. Power drive rods are available in the following

MULTI-PIECE DRIVE
ROD SET |
| A multi-piece drive rod set
is specified when an earth anchor installation exceeds the depth of a
single drive rod. Consisting of a drive end, a number of rod sections
including integral couplers, and a shank. Standard sets range from 3 -
10 metres and can be used with light, medium and heavy percussive installations.

POWER
PACK AND BREAKERS |
The power pack is used to power the hydraulic
percussive breakers and loadlocking units. It has an output of 30 lpm
(8gpm) and a pressure rating of 2000 psi (140 bar). Any reduction in these
values will notably inhibit performance.
The correct choice of breaker will depend on the size of earth anchor
and ground conditions. A 20-25kg breaker is usually adequate to install
Stealth anchors, while a 35-40kg breaker is normally required to install
Bat anchors. The efficiency of the power pack and breaker will determine
the installation time of an anchor system. |
