Project Specification:

The National Armed Forces War Memorial was built in recognition of the men and women who gave
their lives in the service of their country since the Second World War. This large structure comprises of
a 6m high mound of top soil with a spiral path around which shaped evergreen oaks were planted.
The made up ground presented a particular challenge for anchoring the trees and a number of site
tests were completed to determine the correct choice of tree anchoring system. The final result was to
create a harmonious atmosphere in keeping with the war memorial and the surrounding area.

Solution:

Tree Anchor System: RF3P - Consisting of 3 x S81 anchor assemblies, 1 x ratchet tensioner with 10 metres of 6mm Ø galvanised cable & 3 x Plati-Mat rootball protection mesh.
